New fire station building

New fire station building

Like behind a shop window, the heart of the fire department is visible to everyone.

The operations center is positioned in such a way that all traffic movements and the vehicle hall can be viewed from here.

The changing room area is directly connected to the vehicle hall via a glass joint in the building.

The upper floor appears to float above the vehicle hall and is accessed via a glass foyer with stairs and elevator. The roof of the vehicle hall is designed as a terrace and offers a further outdoor area for the fire department's club life.

The building is designed as a reinforced concrete structure with curtain walling. The loads from the upper floor are transferred via a system of beams and reinforced concrete columns in the area of the vehicle hall and via the elevator tower.

The façades continue the idea of elementalization. Closed and transparent surfaces make functions visible.

The use of wood as a façade material creates a link to the regional building style.
