Residential house
The building evolved from the location on the outskirts of Lindach and the needs that the client family of six wanted to see fulfilled in their home.
The theme of the design is the combination of public and private elements. The clear cubist design language, which is based on classical modernism, is not an end in itself. It is used as a means of creating public and private spaces. This begins with the urban arrangement of the structure: the building closes the existing roadside development and opens up towards Lindach Castle.
The interior of the complex opens up once you have passed the movable lamella-like façade. The carport and residential building form a patio. Air beams define the space and allow the outside and inside to grow together.
Inside, the principle of public and private space is continued: A spacious living room and an open kitchen form the family's shared space. Behind this is the parents' wing.
The upper floor belongs to the family's four children. All four children's rooms are accessed via a shared play gallery.
